Project
3D Metal Printing
SPARE PARTS combined with INNOVATION

3D printing of parts Additive manufacturing, sometimes referred to as 3D printing, is now used in the production and maintenance of Rail vehicles and infrastructure, removing the need for castings and mould production. Instead prototyping, using rapidly produced moulds is now done in a matter of days – this represents a lead time gain for component design. Moreover, the resulting components can also be more compact and precisely designed to meet the end-use requirement. Another major potential gain is the ability to complete complex components in a single pass. Our customers now place orders for customised parts; these are then 3D printed on demand and delivered. Operators are now free to produce low-run parts as required, without needing the mass production of large quantities.
